Camps & Clinics

June 29th, 2007- The summer camp season is in full swing with the conclusion of the Next Level Technique/Team Duels camp last week. Campers from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia and the surrounding states participated in the 5 day camp.

The team duels portion of camp was dominated by the Ohio Bucks while the Virginia team, coached by CU wrestlers Kaci Payne and Bryan Wells came in second.

Several wrestlers stood out at camp and were selected to compete in the All Star duel. Mark Jones, CJ Waggenhauser, Antonio Stewart, Terrence Demery, Adam Smith, Austin Bejasono, Sam Carrizalez, Garrett Lay, Cory and Kody Staud, Daniel Wiexler, Wes Lewis were all picked for the All Star duel. Nick Anthony from Ohio and Josh Ashbrook from Kentucky made the All-Star duel teams and went undefeated at camp. Nick and Josh walked away with the Outstanding wrestler awards.

Thank you to all the CU wrestlers, coaches and campers who made this years camp a success. If you did not make it this year, you missed a very good camp. If you missed this camp, you still have time to get in the TIGER TAKEDOWN CAMP July 20th-22nd. This is a 3 day camp that will focus on wrestling from the neutral position.
