Another very solid recruiting class is beginning to take shape. A picture is attached of Andrew Wright signing to wrestle for Campbellsville University. Andrew is a 2x state placer from Tates Creek High School in Lexington. He is coached By John Griggs at Tates Creek.

Andrew signed his letter of intent in front of a packed house at the Tates Creek Library on Wednesday. Andrew chose Campbellsville because of the family atmosphere within the wrestling team and the Christian environment that the University offers. Andrew was also considering Liberty University and other schools in the region. Campbellsville now has 10 commitments for the 2010 recruiting class.

Among those are 2x Juco All American Tim Thurston from Iowa Lakes Community College, 5x state Placer Matt Slone from Sheldon Clark HS, Transfer Josh Harrison from Sacred Heart University, Ohio State Finalist and Ashland University transfer Dustin Fraley, State finalist Terrence Demery, State placer Michael Clark and the English and Welsh Champion Brett Hawthorn from Yorkshire, England.

The Campbellsville coaches are expecting 4 or 5 more recruits to make a decision soon and complete this recruiting class. Campbellsville will return 13 wrestlers with Varsity experience, several national qualifiers and All Americans Johnny Papesh, Spencer Adams, Jacob Murton and Tommy Pretty to next year's team.
